It's official. I'm out of the military and a new and exciting chapter of my life opens today. It's a bit scary, but I have the support I need to make this a smooth transition. I'm very excited about starting college and becoming more involved in the issues I care so much about.

A little bit about me:

 

My name is Eladio and I've lived in San Diego for over three years, althought I'll be moving to Utah in a few days. My wonderful wife and I will be starting college there in the spring. I've been in the U.S. Navy for four years and I'm ready to move on. In 2008, I was deployed to Kuwait in support of OIF/OEF and even got to visit Afghanistan for a few days.

 

My experience in the military and the time I've had to find myself while serving has led me to become an activist against imperialism, war, and injustice. I hope to finish college and then attend graduate school so one day I can teach at the college level and share my thoughts and experience with young people.
